If You Missed the Community Forum on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking……

This isbe the place on our website for notes, videos, and plans for followup.

Did you know that there are millions of people around the world who are enslaved, most of them women and children?  Did you know that there is a significant human trafficking crisis happening right now in our area?  Our church just recently hosted the Community Forum on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking on Sunday, January 18th, 4-7:30pm in Fellowship Hall, with workshops led by experts in the field on Monday, January 19th 9-11:30am. The event included speakers from International Justice Mission, Central Virginia Justice Initiative and Shenandoah Valley Abolitionists.  It is our hope that our congregation will be challenged by the need to seek justice in our community and world, and we look forward to continuing the conversation about the next steps for First Presbyterian Church.
