LEARNING ABOUT US: Want to know more about us? Each spring and fall, First Presbyterian Church offers a Discovering FPC class which is designed to introduce or refresh basics of Christian teaching, as well as to orient you to FPC, its history, its organization, its programs and its people. To register, please see one of the pastors or contact our Administrative Assistant to the Staff, Andrea Barron at firstname.lastname@example.org or (540)662-3824.
BECOMING A MEMBER: First Presbyterian Church welcomes all persons who respond in trust and obedience to God’s grace in Jesus Christ and desire to become part of the membership and ministry of Christ’s Church.
An active member of the congregation is someone who has made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, has been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, has been received into the membership by the church’s leadership, has voluntarily submitted to the government of the church, and participates regularly in the church’s work and worship through giving proportionately of his or her talents, time and money. Each spring and fall we offer an orientation class entitled Discovering FPC. The class is a great way to get to know the congregation and its ministries as well as other persons who are exploring membership.
