First Night Winchester is Back! We need your help

First Night Winchester is Back! We need your help.
First Pres will be hosting two acts in the Fellowship Hall for First Night Winchester this year. Louis Foxx, a family friendly magician, will perform at 6:00, 8:00 and 10:00 and Azure Wolf, a female fronted indie rock band, will perform at 7:00, 9:00 and 11:00. There are quite a few venues in Old Town that will be hosting acts. Attendees will be asked to wear face masks at all venues. We need several people in 2 hour shifts to greet visitors. All volunteers will receive a complementary wrist bands allowing them admission to all venues. If you are interested in helping out, you can sign up online now, click link in bio.

Please join us for "Songs Joy: An Afternoon of Christmas Favorites" with MiKayla Lynn Hatfield and Amy Bowman 2:30pm on December 12. MiKayla has the opportunity to attend the esteemed program American Institute of Musical Studies in Gratz, Austria in the summer of 2022. The recital is to serve as a benefit that will aid in MiKayla's program tuition and travels. Donations welcome, but not required. Join us for a wonderful afternoon filled with Christmas music and Christmas joy!

Hug a Healthcare Worker Update: we are extending t

Hug a Healthcare Worker Update: we are extending the deadline to Monday, Oct. 18. Cards and baskets can be dropped in the Gathering Hall (look for the "Hug A Healthcare Worker" flyer) and monetary donations can be sent to the church office.
Mission Council is coordinating another letter writing and donation drive for the nurses and other support staff at the hospital so that we can show our appreciation for their continuing commitment to caring for our community. They have been fighting for us since March 2020 and need our care now more than ever. Will you help?
1. Write a ‘Dear Hero’ love note expressing thanks, a personal story, encouragement, etc. and drop it off at the church. There is a collection basket in the Gathering Hall. This is a great project for kids too!!
2. Send financial donations for items for the care packages to church and the team will make the purchases: pay online at fpcwinc.org/donate or PayPal, or make checks out to the church and mail them to 116 N. Loudoun St., Winchester, 22601. Please clearly indicate on the memo line (or in the ‘other’ or ‘notes’ field online) that it is for the nurse care packages.
3. Donate medium to large sized baskets for displaying and delivering the packages. (call Rossi at 540-303-2769 to coordinate).
